Day 4: Favourite moments
This. Up until then I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about Sansa, but because of that moment (and the way she fainted before that) she’s my second favourite. Her eyes are mesmerizing and I love how she finally speaks up against Joffrey. Sophie and Jack’s acting is so believable, I enjoy their chemistry. Tied with this scene is of course the amazing finale - hearing the dragon’s screams and then the theme song ending it all with power made me so so excited for the next season.
Day 3: Where would you want to live in the Game of Thrones world?
Isn’t it obvious? Winterfell. Such beautiful greys, always great cold weather, somber, strong and pretty small - plus it has the Godswoods and a Glass Garden. I dream of living there as a Stark - maybe Sansa’s twin? And Jon would be my favourite brother, we’d probably complain about things together. Really, this should be real life.
Day 2: Favourite quote relating to Game of Thrones
I’ll continue the challenge based on the series - don’t quite have one favourite quote but in general I think a lot of what Daenerys says is epic, like the way she said ‘He was no dragon, fire cannot kill a dragon’. Also a favourite has to be ‘I have never been nothing’ - or her speech before she goes into the fire: ‘and I swear to you, that those who would harm you will die screaming’. And for quotes from other characters, I’ll never get tired of Starks saying ‘Winter is coming’.
Day 1: Favourite Character from book/show: Daenerys Targaryen
okay so I know I never finished the song challenge, but it got boring, and maybe this will just make me lose followers but I don’t care - having obsessions is too much fun. I haven’t read the books yet (on their way from amazon) but I’m pretty sure they won’t make me change my mind about her - she has just enough fragile confusion so I can relate to her, but also strength to make me want to be her. It also helps that she’s pretty and has dragon babies. Ultimate female hero :)

Nieuwpoort forever.
So I’ve been looking for new tv shows to watch. Tried Doctor Who (Matt Smith as doctor) but didn’t like it really. It seems like it’s trying really hard to be a lot of things; funny, epic, charming, dramatic, etc… but fails mostly and to me is almost too random to entertain. But maybe this is all just because I’m a bit annoyed with Karen’s acting - a bit over the top/fake no?Anyways, still watched an entire season just for the awesome theme song.
Also gave Game of Thrones a chance, and I loved it. Not perfect, but an instant favourite and I can’t wait for season 2 in April. It’s so comforting, watching it feels like being home. Winterfell is where I belong, with the Stark family, but I like Daenerys the best. Anyways, don’t know why I felt the need to write this. Need to study now.
